Business Cards

These are my most recent business cards. Guy Kawasaki recently asked me to make some for him as well, and I gladly obliged. Clearly he has impeccable taste.

The font is Clearview Hwy, a font collaboratively developed by independent researchers, the Texas Transportation Institute, the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute, and the Federal Highway Administration to be as legible as possible in the worst of visibility conditions.

Does your card’s design get in the way of the information it exists to communicate?

  4. I remembered reading about that font way back when, but never thought to integrate it into any of my projects or my business card. Great idea!

  5. I love the idea…where did you get them done?

  6. Like these a lot. Yes, where did you have them made?

  7. I think the idea of using large fonts in the front of the card for just your name is great. However, it seems that the back is missing something, i don’t what.

I will make a set like that when i finish the one i have. I always make my own (i’m not a designer, but i have some skills) so i will make some tests.

    Thanks for the insight!

  8. Kevin & Joe i made them myself, printed them at a shop i work with down the street from my house. if you or anyone wants cards, feel free to drop me a line.

  9. Nice implementation of the KISS principle — I salute you!

    Keep up the great work.

  10. Justin - What kind of prices am I looking at if I wanted to order some?
    Talk to you soon.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Good looking card. Is this design copyrighted, or can it be cloned at our end.

    thanks!

  12. Jamal, I definitely won’t try and stop you from copying plain text on a solid color. :)
